For me, fashion doesn’t always necessarily inspire fashion - although it does evoke feelings and ideas. Architecture and its materials always seem to inspire me most… however, I would rather think of the building materials in the ways of: how can I use this plastic material or at least the idea of 3D shapes into a garment? Or maybe it’s the repetition of the shapes and building on the idea of form and volume. Playing with the materials that I have which is (for the most part) fabric - that’s when you experiment and the fun begins.
